Surveilx was asked to investigative potential Elder Abuse on a 91 year old man in dementia.

Surveilx investigated the marriage between a 55 year old woman and a 91 year old man in early stages on dementia. The woman worked at a local drug store where the man shopped. She would help him find store items and befriended him over time. At some point he married her. The new wife hired a caregiver for an exorbitant fee on a weekly basis. Surveilx was retained to perform background research on the woman and caregiver.

Results of the investigation were that the woman apparently is still married to her prior husband and the caregiver is the woman’s daughter. The caregiver took the 91 year old man’s car as her own, driving it exclusively. One other caregiver is also a 19 year child of the woman’s. Cars were bought, money transferred. Prior husband got a new vehicle and extensive repairs to the family home. Surveilx was able to determine these pieces of information.
